A Pleasant Surprise at Lunch

I was noshing on my yong tau foo meehoon soup at the 4th floor KLCC food court this afternoon when I got a gentle tap on the shoulder.

“Are you Kurt Low?”

“Yes?”

“Hi, I’m Nicholas. I read your blog.”

My first instinct was to yell “NOT GUILTY!!” but you’ll be surprised at what a mouthful of half-eaten noodle can do for your self control.

I think Nicholas likes my blog. He didn’t say specifically. He could well have been a Michael Bay fan and intended to stab me with his fork. But he works with Accenture in the IT department and wears a nice tie, so that’s unlikely. Instead, we had a short, pleasant conversation over the din:

“SO YOU DRIVE TO WORK?”

“YEAH!”

“WHERE DO YOU PARK?”

“BEHIND PUBLIC BANK!”

“HOW MUCH?”

“4 BUCKS PER ENTRY!”

“COOL!!!”

It was nice meeting you, Nicholas, and thanks for reading.

What are the odds of sighting a fellow blogger who happened to be having lunch alone too? lol

See you around dude. We’ll talk about Michael Bay next time, perhaps over a western meal where KNIFE and FORK are used.
