- Everyone here is white. It’s like being in a western country minus the terrorist-attack risk. My colleagues swear they’re not white, and cite their dark skin color as evidence. I cite Michael Jackson.
- I don’t usually drink, but beer here is SO CHEAP, I had one for breakfast, one for lunch, one for dinner. And one for supper. At RM1.50 a can. BURPPPP
- I just realised that the only reason I don’t drink is because it’s too expensive, and that fact really scares me. May alcohol taxes increase forever. Except in Langkawi, the island of alcohol induced good times. Oh, the good times.
- Tonight’s Carbo Night, where the athletes stuff up on a high carb dinner to give them the energy they need on Race Sunday to swim 3.8KM in the open sea, climb onto a bike and cycle 180.2KM, and then jump off to run a 42.2KM marathon. Under the scorching Malaysian sun. I hope Kenny’s taking notes, on how to write a will.

i was 1/3 of a team (hey 1/3 makes me an athlete instead of a triathlete), I swam only 1.5km, the other two poor bastards had to run like 8 or 10km, and cycle 40km.
but that was when the I was younger, the sky was bluer, the jellyfish were lesser, and my gut was smaller.
Nowadays, if I do participate, I’d be the bouy marker floating out in the sea.

ron: You sound old. Old people wouldn’t know what MSN is, but I’ll ask anyway: What’s the add?
