This Yum Brands, parent of KFC, are pathetic. They also own Taco Bell, the biggest Mexican food fast food chain in the world. Trouble is, us Malaysians don’t care for Tacos, Burritos and the like. So they keep trying to ‘introduce’ Mex through all these stupid KFC ‘wraps’, or more accurately stuff it down our throats.

Just trying to cater to local tastes.
Teriyaki Burger ring a bell? Most burger joints in Japan, all chains and most gourmet places, have teriyaki burgers on their menu despite teriyaki being a traditional Japanese cooking method.
If I remember correctly, they have a rendang burger in the McD in Singapore.
And I suspect this is still in the trial period. If it does well, then they’ll put it on their regular menu. Sure, some things were just never meant to be but you never know until you try.
[Teriyaki burgers are cool, but some things are just not meant to be together man, like nasi lemak in a wrap. It's like spaghetti in a folded pizza! Now I hope those dudes at Pizza Hut aren't reading this... –Kurt]

I’d have to object to the rice. Seems like filler although a sambal chicken wrap might be quite tasty. Still, I’m fairly sure that the product testing department made sure it was at least palatable to the test group.
Re the spaghetti in a folded pizza, that does sound ridiculous. But take out the stupid elements and you get a pizza with bolognese sauce and cheese. Not sure if this concoction is available worldwide but Domino’s Japan sell it and it’s pretty good.
Take any idea no matter how silly, refine until you get it right.
Hello, iPhone people! I’m talking to you!
Also, I haven’t seen a Pizza Hut or Domino’s restaurant. It’s all delivery only. The only sit-down places you can get pizza are at those Italian restaurants or gourmet pizza places.
[Admit it, you just miss a nice good sambal chicken nasi lemak. Haha –Kurt]

That is true. Although I’ve found a really excellent Hainanese chicken rice restaurant here. It actually tastes authentic. Was chatting to the Singaporean waitress and she told me the chef is from Malaysia.

oh, now that you mentioned nasi lemak, you can bring me one when you come to Japan (appropriately chilled, of course). In return, I shall provide you with the necessary documentation to facilitate the acquisition of your tourist visa.
And I don’t mean the RM1 nasi lemak you get at the petrol station. It has to be the real deal with the rendang, sotong, and fried egg.
