While The Blog Was Away
Many wonderful things happened, such as:
1. The Official Blog Car door scratched to hell in a shopping complex carpark
2. The Official Blog Car door sent for a respray
3. The Blog: RM300 poorer
4. The Official Blog Car ran up a kerb at 53km/h because a Mat Rempit in a Proton decided to play “Tailgate Overtake Cut Lane Brake Hard Squeezy Squeezy”
5. The Official Blog Car sent for repairs YET AGAIN
6. The Blog: RM300 poorer
7. The Blog would like to thank The Zeez and Mr Son-In-Law from the bottom of its lower orifices.
8. The Blog managed to secure accommodation in Beijing, which is the biggest miracle since the birth of baby Jesus, considering it’s not in Beijing yet, and is only renting for 3 months, and the place doesn’t cost a kidney and a pancreas, and it doesn’t have cockroaches scuttling around moldy walls, and the fact that you can find the toilet by sight, not by smell. And that’s a lot of “and”s.
You may have noticed that packing is not on the list. There are two reasons for this: (1) Packing is about as wonderful as picking your nose with a pitchfork, and (2) I haven’t started packing. Because I am a man, and real men only pack at the last possible moment:
“Honey, our plane’s boarding.”
“Great, I’ll start packing now.”
I know things have been slow around here the last week or so, but it’s only because I’ve been REALLY busy with 10026577268 things, not including watching an entire season of Captain Power. I promise Beijing will bring more updates and lots of pictures, but meanwhile, PAY NO ATTENTION to the hand behind my back with fingers crossed.
(Beijing Countdown: 8 days. I think.)
